FOREVER DADS (a Father's Day Video)

Annalise made me a Dad. For that I’m forever grateful.
This is my first Father’s Day without her and I wanted to do something that would honor Annalise, while taking a step toward healing.

With Covid canceling all the group grief meetings, I’ve turned to Facebook Groups as a form of grief management. One group is exclusively for Dads who’ve all lost kids to brain cancer – specifically Diffuse Midline Gliomas (DMGs), of which, DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) is the most common.

In joining this group, I was able to meet an inspiring group of Dads – many who are actively fighting this disease TODAY, and many more who were fighting long after their son or daughter had gone to heaven. In their pain, strength, love for their kids, and absolute hate for this disease, I had instantly found a tribe.

With Father’s Day coming up, I found myself inspired to do something to help heal more than just myself. For me, that meant making a video that would celebrate Dads who’ve walked this path before me and to give us all a chance to honor the kids we’ve lost, while hopefully getting you to help us fund a cure and better treatments against the monster of DIPG/DMG. This is the video we made:

PLEASE DONATE TO FUND THE CHILDREN’S BRAIN TUMOR TISSUE CONSORTIUM (CBTTC) HOSPITALS

FROM THE CBTTC:
You could be a hero for children around the world with aggressive brain cancers.

The CBTTC has finally brought to bear the collaborative architecture needed to advance medical science until every child has a cure.
They are making progress, but face a substantial delay if we can't get the sites fully funded by July 1st.

Due in part to the current pandemic, CBTTC needs your help to support their eight primary member sites.

You can help by picking a hospital and helping us reach their goal.

Your donation will ensure that researchers have continued access to data from across the US in real time,
allowing them to accelerate clinical trials and projects, and move towards a cure faster than ever.
